Angel Mint Original
One mint. Over a century of history.
Peppermint oil, sugar, corn syrup and cream of tartar. That is the whole recipe, and it has not needed changing since 1919. Pick the size that fits your counter, your desk or your candy dish.
The feeling
You know the feeling.
That cool peppermint hit. The smooth texture that melts instead of fighting your teeth. The one you take from the bowl on the way out. Then somehow reach for another.

Est. 1919
Some recipes don’t need reinventing.
The recipe started with Drew Krueger’s father in New Jersey: a smooth, creamy peppermint made with good ingredients and real attention.
As the brand grew, the Krueger family moved production to Florida, where the mints became a coastal staple — picked up in beach shops and carried home by the bagful. When it came time for Drew’s father to retire, Drew and his neighbor Clayton Cox bought the brand and brought it to North Carolina.
Same recipe. Same batch size. Same candy maker’s attention. Just closer to home.
Wilson, North Carolina
Back home in Wilson.
Angel Mints is not run by a conglomerate. It is owned and operated by two neighbors, Clayton Cox and Drew Krueger.
Every batch is cooked, stretched, cut and wrapped the way the original candy maker intended, in quantities small enough that one person watches the whole thing. That is not nostalgia for its own sake. It is the reason the texture is right.
Why Angel
Refreshing is simple.
Four ingredients
Sugar, corn syrup, cream of tartar and oil of peppermint. Read the bag — that is all of it.
Real peppermint oil
The cool comes from peppermint oil, not from a flavor system built to imitate it.
It melts
This is the part people write home about. No cracking, no crunching, no shard of candy to work around — it softens and dissolves almost the moment it lands, and the cool peppermint keeps going after the mint itself is gone. The recipe was built around that texture, and it is why a bag disappears faster than you planned.
Wrapped one at a time
Individually wrapped, so a bag works on a counter, a desk, a nightstand or a check presenter.

Keep a little heavenly taste close by.
Restock reminders, new releases and the occasional story from Wilson. Nothing else.

★★★★★
The Best Mint Ever!!
Karen shared the first box she ordered and then refused to share a crumb of the second one —
These are so darn good!!!
— and was already reordering with six left in the box. -
★★★★★
It is the texture
Jennifer describes a strong, bright peppermint that
dissolves in your mouth almost instantly
while the flavor carries on well after it is gone — the texture, she says, is what she loves even more than the taste. -

Delicious!
Nettie reaches for these whenever she wants a little something sweet. They
leave my mouth feeling refreshed
— a piece of candy that somehow leaves you fresher than it found you.

A question we keep hearing answered
Where did you first find Angel Mints?
Almost nobody buys their first one. It shows up on a check presenter, in a waiting room, in a bowl by the door at somebody's grandmother's house.
Angel Mint Original
Over a century of refreshment.
A 16 oz bag holds about 44 individually wrapped mints. Most people go through the first one faster than they expect.
